This month (July 2026) the Greensboro FamilySearch Center seminar/webinar is “America 250 – Beyond the Battlefield” presented by Joe Tritchler.

The discussion will focus on how to discover the patriotic services that were performed by our often forgotten ancestors (especially focusing on women as well as people of color) during the revolutionary war. These services included: providing food, livestock and other supplies; signing oaths of allegiance; managing homesteads; and providing financial support. We will explore the sometimes overlooked records used to unveil these contributions by those who were just trying to survive the war.

Every ancestor who lived during the American Revolution deserves to have their story told. Join us to discover how to learn more about their lives and contributions as we celebrate America 250.
